Bluebeard’s Beach Club is nestled on a secluded Caribbean beach at the southern end of the island, making this an idyllic oceanside spot for couples or smaller families. Free of crowds and commercialized tourist areas, this resort offers you many of the same on-site amenities and activities that are at the more popular locations, but in a more residential-style environment. The surrounding area includes only a few private homes, and the beach is wide open and much less crowded than typical Caribbean hotspots, lending the resort an atmosphere of exclusivity. There’s a free-form pool with a swim-up bar and a complete water sports center — with kayaking, snorkeling and more. There’s also a gym for your fitness pleasure as well as genteel pursuits like an old-fashioned game of garden chess or lawn checkers. Work up an appetite with some volleyball — water or sand — or on the tennis court. And if you don’t want to leave the resort, a dinner buffet is available five nights a week.
